A lot has changed since we founded News of Davidson five years ago. One thing that hasn’t changed is our reliance on financial support from our readers.

If you are reading this after Tuesday, Nov. 29 – then you know “Giving Tuesday” has passed. However, we appreciate your donations to News of Davidson on each and every day. Thank you!

Giving Tuesday offers an annual reminder of the importance of philanthropy, particularly as we move fully into a season of giving to family and friends, and to those we have never met and likely never will.

News of Davidson remains centered on amplifying the needs and the news of nonprofits in our community, small organizations that by and large cannot afford a public relations staff, but that have important messages to spread. We love to tell their stories, announce their events, and celebrate their successes—so many thanks to the supportive community we share.

This coming Tuesday, acknowledging the needs of many, the News of Davidson team also hopes you will support our central role as the free, open, all-volunteer voice for those who seek such basics as shelter, nourishment, education, and healthcare, as well as those who enrich our culture with the arts.
