Financial Assistance Program on Pause at Ada Jenkins Center

Due to high demand, our Financial Assistance program has depleted its available funding and is temporarily closed. Since July, we’ve served 92 families with rent, mortgage, and utility payments, helping them remain in their homes and without interruption of their utility services.
As additional funding becomes available in the months ahead, we will reopen the program. Please keep checking our website for updates.
Other great things happening at Ada:
- Free English as a Second Language (ESL) adult classes return to the Ada Jenkins Center next month, thanks to our education partner Central Piedmont Community College. Mandatory placement testing is December 15. Click here to learn more or register.
- Want a career that makes a difference? We’re hiring a Development Manager, an After-school Enrichment Teacher, and a Financial Assistance and VITA Program Manager. Click here for the position descriptions — and apply today!
- More than 1 in 20 of our Lake Norman neighbors lives below the Federal Poverty Level. Surprised? We’ll host more “Need in the North” van tours early next year.
