NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the second consecutive week, Davidson senior, Joe dosReis has been named the Atlantic 10 Men’s Track Performer of the Week for his record-setting run at the John Thomas Terrier Classic this past Friday.
dosReis, a native of Smithfield, R.I., made more history with a historic run in the men’s mile. dosReis became the first-ever Davidson Wildcat to run a sub-four-minute time, and he is the first Atlantic 10 athlete to do so in over a decade. His time of 3:58.34 also ranks him first in the A-10 and 26th nationally.
This is the senior’s second consecutive Performer of the Week honor after being recognized by the conference last week for his record-setting run in the 800 meters at South Carolina on January 21.
The men’s track and field team will be back in action this weekend at the South Carolina Invitational.
