DAVIDSON — Davidson posted consecutive six-run innings to roll past North Carolina A&T 15-1 at Wilson Field Tuesday night, improving to 2-2.

The Wildcats scored six in the sixth and seventh to turn a tight game into a rout.

Ryan Wilson hit his team-leading second homer in the seventh, a three-run shot to left center, and was one of six Wildcats with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Leadoff hitter Tyler Douglas had four hits and drove in three, while Michael Carico (2 RBIs), Nick Calero (3 RBIs), Jacob Friend and Jacob Hinderleider had two hits apiece.

After surrendering an early run, the Wildcats took the lead in the third. Friend reached on an error before Douglas singled. Then Carico doubled in Friend, Calero singled in Douglas and Carico scored on Wilson’s sacrifice fly to center. The Wildcats had five hits in the sixth and six in the seventh, with Wilson’s home run coming between singles by Calero and Henry Koehler.

Isaac Fix earned the win, throwing four innings and allowing three hits and one unearned run and striking out two.

Freshmen Brycen Champey (2 IP) and Will Banks (1 IP) held the Aggies scoreless in their debuts, and Miles Jamieson closed the door in his second appearance (2 IP).
