Seeding Announced for SoCon Wrestling Championships

DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Southern Conference has released seeding for the 2023 SoCon Wrestling Championship, the league office announced Wednesday. The championship is set to take place Saturday, March 5, at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, North Carolina. 

The SoCon earned two NCAA allocations each at 133 pounds and 174 pounds. The remaining weight classes earned one allocation each, which is the automatic qualifier for the conference tournament champion.

Freshman Tanner Peake (13-3, 4-0 SoCon) earned Davidson’s highest seed at No. 3 in the 157-pound weight class. Jaden Hardrick (12-14, 4-3 SoCon) eaned the No. 5 seed in the 174-pound division while Jackson Sichelstiel (133), Noah Frack (149), Bryce Sanderlin (165), and Jake Fernicola (285) each earned six-seeds in their respective weight classes.
