Fahey Wins Atlantic 10 Lacrosse Player of the Week
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — For the second time in her career and first time this season, senior captain Grace Fahey has been named the Atlantic 10’s Player of the Week, the league office announced late Monday night.
The Greenwich, Conn. native had a career-high day in Davidson’s A-10 opener against Duquesne on Saturday, scoring nine points off five goals and four assists. Her five goals moved her to 101 career goals and her nine points marked the second-highest points scored in a single game in program history.
On the 1-1 week for the Wildcats, Fahey totaled seven goals and eight assists with 12 shots taken.
Fahey is the fourth Wildcat to win an A-10 weekly award this season, as Allie Hartnett earned Rookie of the Week after the first week of the season and Julianne Carey and Riley Cochrane have each won a Player of the Week honor.
