April News from the ODD Sock

by | Apr 3, 2023

We are so excited at The ODD Sock, because April is our annual “Spring Out of Socks” month! This is a big donation month for socks and fundraising. Ben and Jerry’s and Whit’s Frozen Custard are our sock collection sites in Davidson. We truly appreciate these two businesses! Please drop off your clean socks there.

We will have our weekly sock sorts at the “Sock Barn” in Davidson on April 12, 19, and 26. This is a great chance for youth to achieve their community service hours. Please contact us at The ODD Sock if you would like to attend one of these dates. They run from 3:30-5:00pm.

We are beyond excited to partner with Davidson K8’s National Junior Honor Society for the first time this month. Davidson K8 NJHS is collecting socks and will be hosting a sock sort on April 27. The ODD Sock founder, Ted Stevenson, will be speaking and educating the students more about the ODD Sock and the dire needs for socks.

We are also partnering with the following locations this month for sock sorts: ImaginON in downtown Charlotte on April 8 and 29 and Allegra Westbrook Regional on April 29. Charlotte Christian School, the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Charlotte, and several preschool locations will be collecting socks for The ODD Sock, dates to be determined.

The Odd Sock will be making sock deliveries April 3-7 into Virginia and West Virginia. We will also continue to deliver socks throughout the North Carolina area throughout the month of April.
