Y’all Come to the DCCDC Davidson Home and Village Tour!

by | Apr 24, 2023

On April 29, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., you are invited to support the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center (DCCDC) by attending their first ever Davidson Home and Village Tour. Generous neighbors, whose houses are within walking distance of The Green, are opening their homes for this worthy cause. You’re invited inside each home to explore a range of diverse architectural styles, inspiring interior design, historical significance, local art displays, and more!

The website for the event is here. From there a link will take you to the registration page. Tickets will also be available at the DCCDC booth at Art on the Green (April 29), where you can check in with your tickets purchased online, pick up a booklet with information about each home, and receive a map. All proceeds will benefit the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center.

DCCDC is celebrating over 50 years in our community. Their mission is to provide high-quality, affordable early education, and care for any child of our community without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, or socioeconomic status. DCCDC embraces and fosters diversity in a safe learning environment.

They are the only center in the North Mecklenburg area offering 5-Star (more information here), full-time, affordable early education and child care, with scholarship support, for children ages 6 weeks to Pre-K. About 40-50% of enrollees receive sliding-scale scholarship support, ranging from 35-75% of the total tuition cost.

Your ticket for their inaugural Davidson Home and Village Tour will help provide this crucial, affordable service to the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center and the families they strengthen. Y’all come!
