Summit Farms Conditional Planning Area – Master Plan

The developer, Summit Farms, LLC, proposes to develop the +/- 57-acre site to include a mix of commercial, residential, and agricultural areas envisioning 93 units and commercial services in a variety of building types, multiple open spaces including a working farm, and multi-use path facilities running along Shearer Road, through the development, and along the Rocky River. The parcel lies in the Neighborhood Edge and Neighborhood Services Planning Areas as well as the Neighborhood Services Overlay District.

You are invited to attend a public input session on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 5:15 – 7:00 p.m. on the lower level of the Davidson Town Hall & Community Center, 251 South Street, Davidson, North Carolina. The meeting room may be accessed from the rear parking lot, towards Cathey Street. The purpose of the meeting is to review the development proposal and solicit feedback. Identical overview presentations by Town of Davidson staff and the project team will occur at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., with time allotted for questions and viewing the plans in an open house format after each event. Earlier on May 3, planning staff and the project team will host a site visit from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at 19300 Shearer Road. Parking is available adjacent to the shed on the east side of Shearer Rd., about 500 feet south of the East Rocky River Rd. and Shearer Rd. intersection. Due to limited parking capacity, those interested in attending the site visit are asked to RSVP to [email protected] by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
