Seniors (age 60+) are invited to a FREE Estate Planning presentation at the Ada Jenkins Center, Thursday, April 27 from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Led by attorney Soree’ Finely from the nonprofit Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy (CCLA), the session will feature information about how to make a simple will, health care power of attorney, a general power of attorney, and living will.

“Families sometimes don’t realize how important these items are, or they think they’re too much aggravation,” explains Diane Means, Director of Impact and Engagement at the Ada Jenkins Center.  “But having these things in order will not only make sure that their loved ones’ wishes are being carried out, but that there’s no extra stress on the family down the road, during a very emotional time.”  Simply put: everyone can benefit; and the process can be easier than they imagine.

CCLA helps people in our area who need, but cannot afford, legal services; and is the largest provider of legal assistance in Mecklenburg County, improving access to healthcare for low-income and vulnerable populations. The Ada Jenkins Center, located at 212 Gamble Street, Davidson, is proud to be a community partner of CCLA.
