Local Military Veterans invite fellow Veterans, neighbors, and friends to join in placing flags on the graves of Davidson’s Veterans to commemorate Memorial Day.

Please meet at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21 at the Mimosa Cemetery on North Main Street. After placing flags there, the group will proceed to the Christian Aid Society Cemetery and Davidson College campus sites.

According to John Woods, one of the organizers, “We hope to place approximately 350 flags on Sunday, so we would like for this to be a real community effort.”

This is a time-honored tradition to remember and respect our Veterans. Please pass the word to your neighbors and other Veterans. Families and youth are especially encouraged to participate.

Contact John Woods at his email with any questions.
