Anthony Advances to NCAA 400-Meter Hurdle Quarterfinals
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Bryce Anthony advanced to the NCAA Division I Quarterfinals in the 400-meter hurdles when he finished inside the top-24 on Wednesday night at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida.
Anthony, a 2022 Second Team All-American, was the lone Wildcat to advance to Friday night’s quarters with a top-20 finish in the 400 hurdles. His mark of 51.59 was good for 20th out of the East Region’s top-48 qualifiers and put Anthony inside the 24-man start list for Friday. Alabama’s Chris Robinson ran the fastest prelim time at 49.47 seconds.
The Greensboro native will look to earn a top-12 finish at approximately 7:25 p.m. ET on Friday for a berth to the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas on June 7.
