Mecklenburg County Property Value Appeals Deadline Friday: June 9

by | Jun 5, 2023

The Town of Davidson reminds its residents of Mecklenburg County’s upcoming June 9 deadline to submit a property value appeal.

The Mecklenburg County Assessor’s Office provides property valuation and resources for all taxable property in the county and has reappraised all property, as required by N.C. law in March of this year. New values were mailed to all property owners at that time.

The appeal process is an essential component of property valuation. Property owners are entitled to request that the values of their properties be reviewed (appealed) with consideration to aspects of the property that may not have been included when the value was determined.

The Mecklenburg County Assessor’s Office staffs a limited number of appraisers and property specialists to value all properties: real property, vehicles, business personal property and individual personal property.

If you are unsatisfied with the reappraisal value, you may file an appeal through the County’s website no later than Friday, June 9, 2023.

For detailed information and to evaluate which type of appeal you are eligible for,  please visit the Mecklenburg County Government website.
