DLC Seeks Reaccreditation – Stakeholder Notification/Public Notice

by | Jun 21, 2023

DLC logo[Davidson, NC] – Davidson Lands Conservancy is pleased to announce its application for the renewal of accreditation. The land trust accreditation program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever. In accordance with the land trust accreditation program, DLC is undergoing a thorough review of its policies and programs.

The Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs.

“DLC is honored to be an accredited land trust—one of only 467 nationwide. We are currently reviewing our practices and procedures to ensure we continue to meet the Commission’s high standards,” said Dave Cable, DLC’s Executive Director.

The Commission welcomes public input and invites interested parties to provide signed, written comments on DLC’s pending reaccreditation application. The comments should pertain to how Davidson Lands Conservancy complies with national quality standards, which encompass the ethical and technical aspects of operating a land trust. The complete list of standards can be found at www.landtrustaccreditation.org/help-and-resources/indicator-practices.
