Apple TV+ released the official trailer for the Stephen Curry documentary “Underrated.”

The brief paragraph that accompanies the link says the following:

Stephen Curry and Coach Bob McKillop share a hug at a Davidson College basketball game in Feb. 2019.

The remarkable coming-of-age story of one of the most influential, dynamic and unexpected players in the history of basketball: Stephen Curry. This feature documentary — blending intimate cinéma vérité, archival footage and on camera interviews — documents Curry’s rise from an undersized college player at a small town Division I college to a four-time NBA champion, building one of the most dominant sports dynasties in the world.

Davidson fans get lots of “teasers” in this short, 68-second trailer. It includes clips from the run to the Elite 8, the voice and video of former Head Coach Bob McKillop, and a glimpse from the 2022 “Curry for 3” event in Belk Arena.

While some fans will have to wait for the July 21 release on Apple TV+, Davidson students, faculty, and staff had a sneak peak before the end of the 2023 academic year. Still other Davidsonians travelled to the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere in early 2023.
