DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson College women’s basketball head coach Gayle Fulks announced the signing of sophomore transfer Charlise Dunn on Friday.

Dunn, a 6-2 guard out of Australia, spent her freshman season at Virginia Tech as the Hokies went on their historic run to the national semifinal.

“We are incredibly excited to be adding Charlise to our 2023-24 roster,” Fulks said. “We expect Charlise to help this year’s team become more dynamic in the open court. We also look forward to her bringing her experiences to our group, after being a part of a Final Four team last season.”

During her rookie year, Dunn appeared in 11 games and scored 15 points. Her resume also includes a strong junior career, highlighted by several Australian Championship medals for Victoria, a silver medal at the U19 World Cup, alongside fellow Wildcats Issy Morgan and Millie Prior, and a Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence scholarship.

“At 6-2, Charlise is a high-level athlete that has great length at the guard position and an incredible knack for scoring in a variety of ways,” Fulks added.

Dunn and the Wildcats will get to work early this year, as the ‘Cats return to campus in late July to begin preparations for their international tour to Spain from August 9-18.“I can’t wait to get to Davidson because of the incredible combination of basketball and education,” Dunn said. “I’m so excited to get to work with my coaches and teammates.”
