Common Thread Theatre Collective Presents “Our Journey”

July 7 @ 11:00 a.m. 

Cunningham Front Lawn

Follow our players as they go on an interactive journey of self-discovery! Beginning in their own world they progress through the realms of various video games and fantasy worlds. You will meet unique characters, like Princess Pomegranate, Sammy the Soldier, Cranky Canary, and 8-Bit Elliot. They all have valuable traits and special items to offer. Our Journey is a theatre production for young audiences ages 5 – 13 years old. Performances are FREE and open to the public! Please click this link to reserve up to 10 tickets

Get your “Where’s Waldo” card and start the search. The grand finale party and prize drawing will occur July 29 at 10 a.m. at the Davidson Farmers’ Market.

Help, my robot is trapped! Kids will use critical thinking skills to analyze a given problem: their robot is trapped in a room. In order to escape, students must write code, troubleshoot, and use computational thinking. Do you have what it takes to crack the code and help their robot escape? This program is presented by Discovery Place. Registration is required for this program and it is best suited for children in Grades 3-5.

This program will be provided by Davidson Branch library staff.  Babies experience brain stimulation through language and socialization. Engage your little one with new sights and sounds through books, songs, and rhymes.  This program is for babies ages 0 to 18 months. This program is not led by an instructor–it’s a social circle for sharing, building understanding and community. Meet up with other knitters or crocheters for self-directed projects in yarn and thread. Bring your own project to work on–no supplies are provided. While you’re here, check out our many crafting books with knitting and crocheting projects to try. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
