DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson College lacrosse head coach Kim Wayne announced the addition of Amy Moreau to her staff as an assistant coach on Thursday morning.

Moreau, the Atlantic 10’s 2023 Midfielder of the Year, joins Davidson after a stellar five-year career at the University of Massachusetts.

Both Olivia and I are thrilled to add Amy to our staff,” Wayne said. “Amy’s work ethic is something that has always stood out to me in the five years that she’s competed for UMass. I believe she will bring that same work ethic to our program and do a great job instilling it in our players. I’m excited to see her challenge our team so that we can continue to grow and dominate in ways that I know we are capable of.”

In her five years at UMass, Moreau helped lead the Minutewomen to the 2022 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship while also capturing four A-10 regular season titles and making three NCAA Tournament appearances.

She also earned First Team All-Conference honors and All-Northeast Region recognition, while ending her career ranked fifth all-time with 151 draw controls and sixth in caused turnovers (74). During her fifth and final season, Moreau scored 35 goals and dished 15 assists, both career highs, and also ended her tenure with 100 career ground balls.Earlier this summer, Moreau signed a professional lacrosse contract, competing with Athletes Unlimited from July 20 through August 13. She is the first UMass lacrosse player to sign with the league.

“I am excited to join the Davidson lacrosse team and its dedicated staff,” Moreau shared. “I felt so welcomed through this process by Kim, Olivia and the Davidson community. I am looking forward to getting to work in the fall with this impressive team and I can’t wait to see what this year brings!”
