DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson guard Achile Spadone has been selected to Switzerland’s Senior National Team and will compete in the Third Round of the 2025 FIBA Eurobasket Pre-Qualifiers.

A rising sophomore from Geneva, Switzerland, Spadone and his teammates will participate in the Pre-Qualifiers from July 19 – August 2 in hopes of qualifying for next year’s European Championships.

With 12 teams left looking to qualify, the Switzerland National Team will battle through Group H, taking on Kosovo and Denmark in a three-team/four-game pool play.

Spadone came off the bench in 23 games during his freshman season, playing a career-high 29 minutes and scoring a pair of three-pointers against eventual A-10 Champions VCU. He is also the fourth Wildcat in as many years to represent his country on a Senior National Team, along with Luka Brajkovic ’22, Hyunjung Lee and Sam Mennenga.

We are incredibly proud of the work that Achile has put in since arriving at Davidson,” said head coach Matt McKillop. “The honor of wearing his country’s name across his chest is the direct result of his relentless work ethic and drive to be great. We are thrilled for him to have this opportunity.”All games can be streamed for free on
