Most of us think of taking a break when we think of summer. 

At Davidson Housing Coalition, we can’t—because the need for safe, attractive, affordable housing doesn’t go away with the change of seasons.

Each summer, demands on our budget catch up with and stay ahead of annual donations and the operating support we receive from funders. Can we count on you to help us bridge the gap?

A gift to DHC today allows us to continue writing the next chapter for affordable housing in Davidson:

• We are now the sole owners of The Bungalows, our original affordable rental community. Your donation will light the spark on a multi-year, capital improvement plan that the buildings need and the residents deserve.

• We are introducing new resident-centered programming in all three neighborhoods: The Bungalows, Creekside Corner, and The Cottages. Your donation will launch a full calendar of community-building events, broaden the array of services we offer tenants, and enhance our outreach to the people who call DHC communities home.

• We are breathing new life into a home repair program aimed at preserving Davidson’s affordable homes well into another generation. Your donation will leverage the local and regional partnerships that are vital to the program’s success. 

Our office remains a hive of activity—but your support is vital. We trace our roots to a conversation started and a commitment made by Davidson citizens nearly three decades ago. Then, as now, our civic values embraced a shared responsibility to keep the Town’s doors open to all people who wished to call it home.
