Fresh Winds Blowing at The Bungalows
I have been a resident of The Bungalows for a little over ten years, and I also have the privilege of serving on the board of the Davidson Housing Coalition (DHC). I am excited about both of these things as I have never been before. As you may know, DHC has recently, within the past six weeks, become the sole owner of The Bungalows. There are fresh winds blowing!
The DHC board is an impassioned, focused, and tremendously capable group of Davidson citizens. They are marked by sincerity and goodness of heart, and a remarkable depth of skills to accompany them. Board members are forward looking and now forward moving, and Bungalows residents can tell the difference.
More frequent and more complete communication, responsiveness to residents’ suggestions, ideas and concerns, and a strong sense of caring fleshed out in tangible ways (such as greeting new residents with a flowering plant to welcome them to our community) are all hallmarks of this new era. As residents, we are excited about the new leadership and the possibilities that accompany it.
The strength for DHC’s progress lies in the citizens of the town of Davidson. We are thankful for the financial and other support that you have given DHC in the past. To make our hopes and promises come true, we need to grow our financial resources.
Will you consider making a contribution to DHC during our 2023 Summer Campaign? Speaking both as a Bungalows resident and as a DHC board member, we would be deeply appreciative.
