Ben & Jerry’s Big Day is Here
The time is here! Our 30th Birthday with special guest, THEE Jerry Greenfield of Ben & Jerry’s fame! Wednesday, September 6 from 5:30-7 p.m.! Jerry will arrive at 6:00 to meet with our fans, sign tee shirts, take photos, and answer questions. Starting at 5:30, Jan Blodgett, retired Davidson College Archivist, Main Street Books book seller and longtime resident of Davidson will be on hand with 30 years of History of the Town of Davidson.
Also performing an Original Song created just for Jerry’s visit will be Dave Scott Crowe. He is the elementary school music teacher at Pine Lake Preparatory School in Mooresville. He also heads Imusination Academy, an organization dedicated to instilling in children the confidence to get on stage. He lives in Davidson with his wife, son, and daughter and loves when he bites into a chunk of cherry when eating a pint of Cherry Garcia.
Jan Blodgett was the College Archivist for Davidson College from 1994 to 2017. She has been active in several civic groups including Common Ground and co-authored a town history called One Town Many Voices with Dr. Ralph Levering. After retirement, Jan continued to be a part of the town’s Civics 101 course and has had the great privilege of working at Elaine McArn’s Needlecraft Center and Main Street Books.
