Access to Success to Hold Annual Fundraising Event

by | Sep 5, 2023

Access to Success (A2S) is thrilled to announce their annual fundraising event, Soulful Supper, to be held on October 7, 2023. A2S is a nonprofit organization founded by former Davidson basketball player, Andrew Lovedale. The organization provides sustainable programs that generate positive change for Nigerian children and their communities.

Soulful Supper aims to raise $200,000 in support of A2S’s Education, Entrepreneurship, and Outreach programs in Benin City, Nigeria. Their state-of-the-art Youth Center caters to 240 children daily through their After School Academy program, offering them access to education, leadership training, and empowerment programs. Additionally, the facility provides valuable resources for A2S’s 58 university scholars and serves as a hub for a range of community outreach events. In addition, this past April A2S opened their Entrepreneur Hub location in Benin City that serves a community of 250 emerging business leaders. A2S reaches approximately 10,000 individuals each year through its afterschool, university scholars, entrepreneurship and outreach programs.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. in Vail Commons on the campus of Davidson College. Attendees will be able to participate in a social hour, silent auction, and dinner program featuring a catered Nigerian meal. Silent auction items include artisan items from Nigeria, vacations, experiences, local art, and more. The main event will feature a presentation from program beneficiary, Uchechi Ufochukwu, along with other key members of the organization.

Tickets for the Soulful Supper can be purchased on the Soulful Supper event site, and those unable to attend in person are encouraged to register and participate in the silent auction online.
