September Programs at the Davidson Public Library

by | Sep 5, 2023

Davidson Public Library

Two exciting programs in September: Disc Golf for teens and a Travel Club for adults.

DISC GOLF FOR TEENS

4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. | Thursday, September 07 or September 14, 2023 at

Bailey Road Park

What’s disc golf? What are all those chain baskets in parks across our county? How do I hold the disc? What do all the numbers mean? What do all the different kinds of discs do?

Answer these questions and more when you come join us this summer and learn to play a new growing sport in Charlotte! Engage in teamwork with your peers and gain some mentoring skills as you help others learn to play too!

Enjoy getting active outside during the summer. No prior disc golf knowledge required. Beginners through advanced players welcome. Bring your own discs or borrow some of ours.

This program is strictly for ages 12-18.  We will meet at our nearest open disc golf course at Bailey Road Park in Cornelius.

This program will be led by both a Davidson library staff member wearing a Mecklenburg County ID and a Davidson volunteer.

We will meet at the first tee of the course at Bailey Road Park. The first tee is located near the parking lot and tennis courts. A map of the park can be found here at this link.

Bailey Road Park: 11536 Bailey Road, Cornelius, NC 28031

Please wear appropriate shoes and clothes for walking through the disc golf course, as this program will take place outside in a public park. In the case of inclement weather, the program will be cancelled.
