Brady Captures A-10 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Davidson libero Bella Brady has been named Atlantic 10 Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
It’s the first honor of the year for the senior from Winter Park, Fla., who has won the last two A-10 Libero of the Year Awards.
Over the weekend, Brady led the Wildcats to a 3-0 performance at Davidson’s Wildcat Classic, which extended Davidson’s record to 6-0. It’s the best start to a Wildcat season since 1990.
In the wins over Queens, Northern Illinois and UNC Wilmington, Brady averaged 6.55 digs per set and totaled 72 digs, including 28 apiece against Queens and UNCW. She passed .918 on serve receive, served three aces and dealt 15 assists.
Brady and the Wildcats travel to High Point Sept. 9-10 to face East Tennessee State and High Point.
