NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Seven nationally televised matchups highlight Davidson’s Atlantic 10 men’s basketball schedule, which the conference released Wednesday afternoon.

The Wildcats, who unveiled their non-conference schedule on Tuesday, will begin their 18-game conference slate with a pair of home games on Wednesday, Jan. 3 against Dayton and Tuesday, Jan. 9 against Rhode Island.

Davidson will play three of its next five on the road, beginning with back-to-back trips to George Washington (Jan. 13) and Fordham (Jan. 17) before closing out January with a visit to Saint Louis on Jan. 24. On the home front, the ‘Cats will host Richmond on Jan. 20 and last year’s tournament champion, VCU, inside John M. Belk Arena on Jan. 27.

The month of February tips off with two straight road games at Loyola Chicago (Feb. 4) and Duquesne (Feb. 7) before the Wildcats return home for meetings with George Mason (Feb. 10) and La Salle (Feb. 13).

The final leg of the A-10 regular season, which stretches into mid-March, will include road games at St. Bonaventure (Feb. 17), Richmond (Feb. 24), Dayton (Feb. 27) and Saint Joseph’s (March 9).

Additionally, the ‘Cats will entertain Fordham (Feb. 20), Massachusetts (March 2) and Loyola Chicago (March 6) on McKillop Court.

Entering its 10th season in the Atlantic 10, Davidson has won two regular season titles (2015, 2022), a tournament title (2018), made three NCAA Tournaments (2015, 2018, 2022) and totaled 107 league wins (11.8 per year). The Wildcats have recorded an average finish of 4.4 in the 15-team conference and have made the tournament semifinals all but one year.

“With many new coaches and changes to rosters, this could be one of the more unpredictable years we’ve seen during the nine seasons we’ve been members of the Atlantic 10,” said second-year head coach Matt McKillop. “That being said, we know every night will be a battle.”
