DAVIDSON N.C. – The Davidson women’s soccer team will play the second game of a four-game home stretch when it welcomes Presbyterian 2 p.m. Sunday (Senior Day) at Alumni Stadium.

The Wildcats will honor their five-member senior class of Shea Bonacci, Brooke Ditcham, Phoebe Fowler, Riley Patton and Emma Peddrick for their contributions to the program over their careers. Sunday’s match will also serve as a “White-Out” game for fans.

“We are excited to be back on Alumni Stadium for a long stretch of home games, including our Senior Day on Sunday” said head coach Riley Piechnick. “As a team we have been doing some good things on the field in the past couple of games that haven’t been reflected in the results. I think this week of games will be a great opportunity to start putting the whole picture together before starting conference pay next week.”

Davidson enters the fourth week of the season with a 2-4 record and will search for its first win at Alumni Stadium.

Leading the way for the Wildcats’ offense is Aleia Gisolfi McCready with four points via two goals. Following is Patton who has netted one goal. Ditcham and Lilly Lovell have also each tallied a point this year on an assist.

Emily Smith, Davidson’s trusted starter in goal, still ranks among the top 10 goalkeepers in the Atlantic 10 as she is sixth in goals against average (1.00) and saves (21) while ranking seventh in save percentage (.778) and 10th in saves per game (3.5).

Smith commands a back line that has allowed the sixth-least amount of goals in the conference with six.
