This program will be provided by Davidson library staff. Please check in with library staff beginning at 9:00 am on the day of the Storytime – the first 12 babies and their caregivers are able to attend. Babies experience brain stimulation through language and socialization. Engage your little one with new sights and sounds through books, songs, and rhymes.

This program is not led by an instructor–it’s a social circle for sharing, building understanding and community. Meet up with other knitters or crocheters for self-directed projects in yarn and thread. Bring your own project to work on–no supplies are provided. While you’re here, check out our many crafting books with knitting and crocheting projects to try. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Join us for the opening reception on Sept 14 from 5:30-7pm. Panel discussion will follow from 7-8pm with Beal and students. Refreshments served.

Panel Discussion: Endia Beal – Spaces of Comfort

Spaces of Comfort is the result of a two-year-long residency with internationally  acclaimed artist Endia Beal, commissioned by Davidson College, with the support of the Elizabeth Firestone Graham Foundation. Join us for a panel discussion with Endia Beal and student participants in “Spaces of Comfort” to hear more about their experiences with this project. The resulting project, a commissioned set of photographs for Davidson College’s art collection, are on view in the Van Every Gallery from August 28-October 1.
