Rotary Club of Davidson Presents the annual Giving Tree Village Fundraiser – An Opportunity to Illuminate Lives this Holiday Season.

The Rotary Club of Davidson is delighted to announce the launch of the annual Giving Tree Village, a premier fundraising event set against the backdrop of the cherished Christmas in Davidson celebration. This event stands as a beacon of community support, benefiting over 60 diverse non-profit organizations and offering opportunities for local businesses, clubs, groups, and individuals to come together and make a meaningful impact.

The Purpose of Giving Tree Village The Giving Tree Village serves as a unifying force within the community, driven by the following key objectives: Bringing the Community Together: This event fosters unity and solidarity among community members in support of local non-profits.

• Visibility for Local Non-Profits and Businesses: It provides a platform for diverse local non-profits and businesses to gain visibility.
• Critical Funding for Small Non-Profits: The event raises much-needed funds for small community-based non-profit organizations.
• Building Lasting Connections: It establishes lasting connections between businesses and non-profits, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration.

Why Participate? Participating in Giving Tree Village offers a host of advantages:

Mass Exposure: Thousands of Christmas in Davidson attendees visit the Giving Tree Village to admire the beautifully decorated trees and vote for their favorite tree/non-profit.

Community Engagement: Over 40,000 visitors attend Christmas in Davidson during the 3-day festival, and the entire Davidson Main Street Square is dedicated to the Giving Tree Village.

Extended Visibility: Decorated trees and signage remain on Main Street for 7+ days after the event, providing additional opportunities for donations.

How Does the Giving Tree Village Work? The heart of the event lies in the Village of Christmas Trees, comprising 60 trees sponsored by local businesses and individuals. Each tree represents a collaboration between a local business and a non-profit. Approximately 30,000 individuals stroll through the Giving Tree Village during December, casting votes that generate donations for their chosen charity. Additional cash awards funded by the event and tree sponsors are distributed to local non-profits based on various categories.

Become a Sponsor and Make a Difference By participating as a sponsor, you have the chance to create unforgettable memories for attendees and shine a light of generosity during the holiday season. There are various sponsorship opportunities:

Be a Tree Sponsor: Select a local non-profit to sponsor, design, and decorate a themed tree together. Sponsorship cost is $325.

Be an Event Sponsor: Choose from three sponsorship levels, including Twinkle Light Sponsors ($500-$999), Silver Bell Sponsors ($1,000-$4,999), and Corporate Name Sponsors (Over $5,000). All sponsorships require a minimum donation of $500.
