Men’s Soccer Handed First Loss of Season
DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Davidson men’s soccer team suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of UNC Charlotte, 2-0, on Wednesday night.
The 49ers scored midway through the first half and took that 1-0 lead into the second half.
Davidson had just two shots in the first forty-five minutes and were able to triple that figure in the second half, but it was to no avail. Charlotte scored again just seven minutes into the second half to take a two-goal lead.
Late in the contest, Noah Louzan was fouled in the box setting up a penalty kick. Denis Krioutchenkov stepped up for the shot, but his attempt at the far left side of the net was saved by the 49ers squandering any chance at a comeback.
