Town Partners to Administer Critical Home Repair Program

by | Oct 9, 2023

DAVIDSON, NC– The Town of Davidson is excited to launch a Critical Home Repair Program specifically geared toward homeowners in the West Davidson community. This program, falls under the umbrella of the Comprehensive Housing Affordability Program (CHAP), is made possible through funding provided by community partners Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region and the Davidson Community Foundation, as well as the American Rescue Plan Act Funding (ARPA) awarded to the Town by Mecklenburg County.*

The Critical Home Repair Program preserves, protects, and maintains existing naturally affordable housing in the Town of Davidson. This program also helps low-income homeowners by completing critical, major repairs at a subsidized rate.

The Town of Davidson is grateful to its partners for their financial support of the Critical Home Repair Program. Both the Davidson Community Foundation and Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region are contributing 25% of the project costs. Previously this year, Mecklenburg County had awarded the Town ARPA funds for 50% of the project costs.

For questions about the application process, or to inquire about an application, emailCHRapplications@habitatCLTregion.org, attention Jennifer Doyle, or call Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region at 704-716-7054. Ask for Jennifer Doyle and reference the Town of Davidson Critical Home Repair Program.
