Our mission is to provide high-quality, affordable early education for any child in our community and to embrace and foster diversity in a safe learning environment. DCCDC provides high-quality early childhood education with scholarship support for children ages six weeks to six years. Nearly 30% of our mini-scholars receive sliding-scale financial assistance ranging from 35-95% of tuition. All proceeds from the DCCDC Annual Breakfast fuel tuition scholarships, teacher and staff support, operational costs, and improvements to DCCDC. Together, we can invest in early education and pave the way for future generations.
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, “Preschool can help combat crime, teen pregnancy, and high school dropout rates. When children benefit from a high-quality early childhood education, they make cognitive and social gains that prepare them to start school. These foundational skills allow them to build on their learning and knowledge through school and into adulthood. As a result, a child without an early childhood education is 25 percent more likely to drop out of school, 40 percent more likely to become a teenage parent, and 70 percent more likely to be arrested for a violent crime.” We thank you in advance for supporting the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center as we continue to lay the groundwork for future leaders.
