Wildcat Will Davis at the River Run Collegiate

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Coming off his first collegiate win, Davidson’s Will Davis has been named Atlantic 10 Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office over the weekend.

A junior from Jacksonville, Fla., Davis finished with a 54-hole total of 203 (-13) to capture a share of the 2023 USF Invitational title Tuesday afternoon at Southern Hills Plantation Club.

Davis entered the final round one off the lead before carding a 3-under 69 for his first career win. After dropping a shot on his opening hole, he bounced back with an eagle on the 564-yard 12th hole and played his remaining 15 holes bogey free.

The 2022 Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year climbed into contention in yesterday’s second round with a season-low 65. Through three events this season, Davis has a 68.8 stroke average and two top-10 showings.
