Flee tells a remarkable story of displacement and survival that justifies its eclectic, genre-blending approach.” Leslie Felperin, Financial Time

“The loss of his cultural roots, the discrimination and danger he faced on his journey west, the strange new culture and language he has to assimilate – all are part of the refugee experience vividly brought to screen…” David Stratton, The Australian

“An animated film that defies the constraints of typical documentaries, this heartbreaking tale about an Afghan refugee traversing land and sea to find a safe home is a compelling exercise in trust.” Michael Cuby, them

“An original format, it finds its stride quickly and we lose ourselves in this animated world, albeit never far away from the horrific reality of what it means to be a refugee.” Ben Turner, The Pink Lens

“Documentaries rarely use every possible resource to tell its story. However, this story of an Afghan man’s tumultuous journey to freedom goes beyond the extra mile to illustrate to viewers the harsh reality of survival…” Brian Susbielles, InSession Film
