Men’s Golf Wraps Up 2023 Fall Campaign
Wildcat Will Davis at the River Run Collegiate
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Davidson men’s golf team wrapped up its fall season Tuesday at the 2023 Furman Intercollegiate.
Junior Will Davis paced the Wildcats finishing tied for 12th with a 54-hole total of 212 (65-74-73). A two-time all-conference performer, Davis finished the fall campaign with a team-best 69.33 stroke average, highlighted by an individual title at the USF Invitational.
Joshua Stewart (220 | T-45), Alex Heffner (221 | T-50), Davis Sayman (229 | T-80) and Benjamin Newfield (242 | 88th) were also in the Wildcat lineup. Price Miller (219 | T-41) was competing as an individual.
Despite finishing 13th, Davidson concludes its fall slate with three Top-5 finishes in four events.
The host Paladins (-20) held on to their overnight lead to claim the team title by one shot over Chattanooga (-19).
The Mocs had three of their four golfers finish 1-2-3 on the individual leaderboard, led by Paul Conroy’s tournament-best 8-under 205.
