FREE tax preparation starts February 3: appointments now open!

Tax season is just around the corner. This year, the Ada Jenkins Center is hosting three program sites — in each of our service towns of Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville — for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE).

VITA/TCE volunteers help neighbors with 2023 income of $60,000 or less prepare their taxes for free. Appointments are available:

  • Saturdays 9am-3pm at the Ada Jenkins Center (Davidson) and the North County Regional Library (Huntersville)
  • Thursdays 5-7pm at First Baptist Church of Cornelius

Appointment registration is required:   www.adajenkins.org/services/vita/

For scheduling questions, call or text 704-765-6195 or email [email protected].

We’re looking for businesses and churches to sponsor weekly food and snacks for the tax preparation volunteers, through April 13. If you can help, please contact our VITA team.

Please contact [email protected] for more information.
