Volunteer Opportunities with DLC at Beaty Park

Show some LOVE for Beaty Park!
Join DLC and Friends of Beaty Park on Saturday, February 17 or Saturday, February 24 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. for an invasive species removal. We will meet near the parking lot.
Davidson’s newest park is gorgeous but it needs some attention. Invasive species like Nandina, Privet and Autumn Olive have spread and are inhibiting biodiversity under the tree canopy. By removing these and allowing non-invasive plants to thrive, we will support tree growth and animal habitats and ensure Beaty’s long term health.
We will provide tools and gloves and project leaders to show you what needs to be done.
