Access to Success (A2S) is a nonprofit organization based in Davidson, North Carolina, serving children and youth in Benin City, Nigeria. A2S’s aims to break the cycle of poverty for the communities they serve in Benin City. The organization features programs focused on education, career development, and community empowerment and serves a majority of individuals who survive on less than $1 a day.

A2S is searching for volunteers to serve on an event committee for their annual “Soulful Supper” to be held on Davidson’s campus on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Roles on the committee include event design, silent auction coordination, logistics, and more. Those interested can read more and fill out an interest form here. After filling the form, A2S staff will be in contact to chat more about the positions available.

Soulful Supper is A2S’s annual fundraiser that brings a splash of Nigerian culture to Davidson. The event features a traditional Nigerian meal designed in tandem by Davidson’s Chef Craig Mombert and A2S Founder, Andrew Lovedale. While the specific details of this year’s event will be determined by the committee, the A2S Soulful Supper also often features live testimony from beneficiaries, as well as videos produced by A2S kids at the After School Academy in Nigeria.
