You are our Valentines!
Okay, we are a bit late, but overflowing with affection for you, reader, nonetheless.
And if you supported News of Davidson in 2023 with a gift, as well as your attention, we quiver with flowery, chocolate, sparkling gratitude!
Look at this: 2023 was NOD’s most financially successful year yet, with a total of $8,016. And you must know what that level of support means to us.
As you know, reader, NOD is a nonprofit enterprise that chugs along with a small and dedicated volunteer crew, supported by readers like you. Just picture our happy band on a weekly Zoom meeting, checking on each other, sharing ideas, making assignments, talking through editorial decisions, reflecting on last week’s posts, and brainstorming for what’s ahead—knowing that you are there to click and read and enjoy our work.
After the meeting, we go our separate ways to research, interview, take photographs, draft, proof, and post the newest news, following up throughout the week with ideas, questions, reports, and new assignments—all done with something akin to love.
