The Town of Davidson is excited to announce the dates for the fourth annual Mayors’ Fitness Challenge. The Towns of Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville will once again participate in a six week-long fitness challenge taking place from April 7 – May 19, 2024, with an official ‘Kick-Off Event’ taking place from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Town of Davidson’s Town Green. Online registration for the fitness challenge opens on Monday, March 4, 2024. This event is of no cost for Davidson residents.

The objective for the 2024 Mayors’ Fitness Challenge is for each of the three towns to collectively aim to accumulate the highest number of active minutes per week as a community. After six weeks, the town with the highest average of active minutes will receive the highly coveted title ‘Fittest Community.’

This year, residents of each town will register to participate in the competition as one unified community team. The Towns of Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville will each host an official group walk within their respective communities. Participants can register within the first three weeks (April 7-21,2024) and must register under the town in which they currently reside.
