DavidsonLearns: Supreme Court Wades into the 2024 Election
What role does the Supreme Court play in elections, and what role should it play? This election year has brought the court unprecedented legal issues that could affect electoral outcomes. Dr. Andrew O’Geen will examine how and why the court decides – or refuses to decide – political questions, and the unique issues of 2024 that are testing the court.

Presented by: Andrew O’Geen is Associate Professor of Political Science at Davidson College. His areas of expertise are U.S. politics and the Supreme Court. Dr. O’Geen received his B.A. in political science from the University of Kentucky; his M.A. in political science from Georgia State University; and his Ph.D in political science from Stony Brook University.
