Baseball Wins Midweek Game at N.C. A&T

Last season the ‘Cats hosted NC A&T at Wilson Field.

 

GREENSBORO — Noah Jouras drove in three runs, and four Davidson pitchers limited N.C. A&T bats in a 7-1 Wildcats’ win at War Memorial Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Wildcats improved to 6-10 overall, while the Aggies fell to 11-5.

Jouras drove in the game’s first run with a bunt single in the first inning, then plated two more on a single to center in the Wildcats’ three-run third.

Jouras, Eli Putnam and Tyler Douglas each had two hits, as Putnam, Douglas and Hunter Anderson singled in runs in the sixth.

With the game tied 1-1 and the bases loaded in the third, Jack Cotrone drew a walk to drive in Jacob Friend for the go-ahead run.

On the mound, starter Isaac Fix threw four innings, allowed two hits one earned run and struck out five. Brycen Champey threw the next three innings, surrendering just two hits before Jake Dunagan and Wilson Perkins closed it out with an inning apiece.
