Main Street Books is pleased to announce the launch of Davidson resident Kathleen McIntyre’s first book The Nature Reset on Tuesday, March 19 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Summit Coffee stage located at 128 S. Main Street in Davidson.

At the book launch party, appropriately scheduled on the Spring Equinox to welcome the spring season, author Kathleen McIntyre will demonstrate one of her signature body grounding exercises detailed in The Nature Reset and sign copies of her book. Refreshments will be available for purchase at Summit Coffee and music will be performed by Billy Jones, Mike Orlando, and Phil Skipper. The book sells for $16.95 and will be available for purchase at the party on March 19 and at Main Street Books.

About the book:

The Nature Reset is a practical, powerful, and accessible self-help guide for restoring your nervous system, rekindling creativity and passion, and reclaiming flow both in body and spirit, whether you are in the heart of the city or a suburban backyard. It provides specific hands-on exercises for those seeking emotional and mental support by accessing the benefits of Nature for healing and well-being. This book offers foundational lessons, healing rituals, and easy practices rooted in the alchemy of nature therapy, somatic therapy, and mindfulness.

About the author:

Kathleen McIntyre began her career as a forest ecologist, has been leading therapeutic nature experiences for 25 years, and is scheduled to earn a master’s degree in clinical social work in December 2024. She leads international and local therapeutic and life-enriching experiences in Nature, practices somatic therapy, mindfulness, nature connection, energy medicine, ecotherapy, and ecopsychology. She is the Co-Founder of the Davidson Green School, now serving as their Director of Mindfulness and Outdoor Leadership. She lives in Davidson with her husband and two children, where she enjoys backpacking, trail running, traveling, gardening, and time with friends – all in Nature.

“My life’s purpose is to help people connect with themselves through Nature,” said McIntyre. “Nature is a powerful remedy for feeling disconnected, anxious, stressed out, and lacking vitality, and I’m so pleased to help readers of The Nature Reset to restore their nervous systems, reclaim their bodies, and reawaken their spirits.”
