An Orchestra of Love: A Poem by Jody Seymour
Could it be that all that
came to be was
an orchestra of love
The cosmic conductor
dreamed up a new
melody birthed
from deep within
a place of utter joy
Not being able to contain
the thought of what
a creation might sound like,
chords stirred anew
like the bubbling of
some underground spring
Suddenly light crashed
upon the scene
in a crescendo of
what seemed like
glee from a child
at play
Then came the murmur of
a bird’s song to
accompany the still
silence that awaited
its coming
“Someone needs to hear
this music,”
thought the conductor
So in this moment
close your eyes
and listen with care
to the wonder…
It’s all for you
