Annual Nisbet Venture Fund Pitch Competition

by | Apr 16, 2024

(Editor’s note: This announcement came to News of Davidson from Liz S. Brigham ‘04, W. Spencer Mitchem Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Davidson College)

As we continue to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within our Davidson community, I am excited to invite you to the 10th Annual Nisbet Venture Fund Pitch Competition, taking place from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 in the C. Shaw Smith 900 Room in the Alvarez College Union. This event is made possible through the generous support from Marian Nisbet and Chip Nisbet ‘86.

Come cheer on your favorite finalist team as they compete for up to $32,500 in grants and investments to take their business idea to the next level! It is the culmination of our largest and most comprehensive annual program celebrating weeks, and sometimes years, of hard work from our students and young alums.

You can learn more about all of the finalist teams, their innovative ideas and their mentors on this page.

Get your tickets today before we reach capacity on what is historically a standing-room-only event. This is your opportunity to get a first glance at the innovations and new businesses coming out of our programs at the Hurt Hub at Davidson.

Can’t make it in person? Grab your friends and fellow Wildcats and host a viewing party! We’ll be live streaming the entire event.

For more information and to register for the in-person event and live stream, please visit this link.

PS – Already have plans for April 24, but want to get more involved in our programs at the Hurt Hub? Sign up to join the Davidson Entrepreneurs Network – the DEN!
