FREE books!  Young Readers Book Fair at the Ada Jenkins Center: Saturday, April 27, 2024

In honor of National literature month, the Ada Jenkins Center is holding a book fair for youth (ages 3-17) from Cornelius, Davidson, and Huntersville. On Saturday, April 27 (1-4 pm), young readers can come to the Ada Jenkins Center gymnasium (212 Gamble Street, Davidson) and select up to two books and two bookmarks for free!  All books feature Black characters and cultures, and are created by Black authors and illustrators.

The Book Fair is made possible by a grant from the Davidson Fund for Racial Equity that was awarded to a Davidson College student who volunteers at The Ada Jenkins Center. For more information, call 704 896-0471 ext. 137.

**And before joining the Book Fair, why not stop by the free Community Chalk-Art Festival at Davidson College, in the Baker Parking Lot.  April 27:  8:30am-5:30pm. Voting proceeds benefit Ada Jenkins Center’s LEARN Works program.
