ORLANDO, Fla. – Highlighted by Top-5 finishes from Will Davis (-7) and Joshua Stewart (-2), Davidson came home third at the 2024 Atlantic 10 Men’s Golf Championships.

The three-day stroke-play event was played on the Par 72, 7,068-yard Cypress Course layout at Evermore Resort.

Davis, who entered the day just two off the pace, signed for his third straight sub-par round of the championship to finish at 209 (69-71-69), two behind VCU’s Ugo Malcor (-9) and Grayson Wood (-9). The 2022 A-10 Rookie of the Year also lowered his season stroke average to an impressive 70.43.

The Wildcats, who entered winners of the last three conference titles and four in five appearances, posted a team total of 873 (+9)

Stewart (71-73-70 = 214) fired a final-round 70 to collect his team-best fifth Top-5 showing of the season.

Alex Heffner, the most decorated golfer in Davidson history, placed just inside the Top-20.

Price Miller (T-29th | +11) and Will Tharin (47th | +20) were also in the Wildcats’ lineup this weekend.

VCU (-20), which came in as the preseason favorites, captured the team title by 25 strokes over runner-up George Washington.

Davidson concludes its 2023-24 campaign with two wins, 10 Top-5 finishes in 11 events and a 285.4 stroke average.

In nine Atlantic 10 Championship appearances, Davidson has captured four titles (2018, 2021, 2022, 2023), a runner-up and two third-place showings, while recording an average finish of 3.0.
