Calling all Alums! Dance Davidson is Celebrating Forty Years
This is Dance Davidson’s 40–Year Anniversary!
Terilynne Knox, representing her philosophy of dance and life
As its creator and teacher, Terilynne Knox said, “We have come a long way from our classes being held at Ada Jenkins and our performances being held at DCPC.”
The anniversary celebration will be held on Sunday, May 19 with performances at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. at the Duke Family Performance Hall on the Davidson College Campus. Dance pieces will be those that have been performed over the past 40 years.
Mrs. Knox is hoping that Dance Davidson Alums will participate in this celebration. “I am so lucky to have a job that I love. I have been surrounded by the VERY BEST students, teachers,and parents at Dance Davidson. Highlights have been seeing students go on to dance professionally, working with some of the best teachers and choreographers in this industry, and at the very top, teaching second generation students. I am privileged to teach young dancers whose mamas were also my students at that same age.”
