During Ada Jenkins Center’s spring fundraiser, Golfing for Good, 76 golfers took to the greens and helped raise $22,391.22 to benefit the families served by the Ada Jenkins Center. Held under sunny skies April 29 at Mooresville Golf Club, the day featured breakfast, lunch, and beverages, 18 holes of golf, and contests and giveaways.

Prizes were awarded to The Norman Group, whose team scored in first place, and to FIG Marketing, whose teams came in second and third.

“We can’t thank our golfers, sponsors, and raffle donors enough,” says Harold Rice, CEO of the Ada Jenkins Center. “Their friendship and support provide an extra boost right now, as demand for our services keeps increasing. Our food pantry usage has increased 50% over last year, and we are on pace to provide more than $270,000 in critical assistance funding by the end next month.”

The event was sponsored by Novant Health, Financial Independence Group / FIG Marketing, Davidson Wealth Management of Wells Fargo Advisors, Divergent IT Consulting, Piedmont Federal Bank, Champion Tire & Wheel, Carolina Oral & Facial Surgery, BVS Systems, Inc., Enbloc Construction, First Citizens Bank, J. McLaughlin, Merrill- a Bank of America Company, Morningstar Storage, and Team Penske.

Additional thanks to Charlotte FC, Davidson Community Players, the McIntosh Law Firm, On the Nines Bistro, Team Penske, and RFK Racing/Fifth Third Bank, who provided raffle prizes and giveaways.
