Davidson Police Department Invites Community to Annual Cone with a Cop Event
DAVIDSON, NC – The Town of Davidson Police Department (DPD) will host the sixth annual Town of Davidson Cone with a Cop event on Saturday, June 15, between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The public is invited to attend an event dedicated to enhancing the safety and well-being of our community while enjoying frozen vanilla or chocolate custard at Whit’s Frozen Custard (428 S. Main Street.)
This event will focus on promoting personal safety for children and families through interactive and educational activities. Davidson’s youth will have the opportunity to learn crucial safety skills, including how to handle encounters with strangers and the proper way to cross the street from the Davidson Fire and Police Departments. Additionally, families will receive guidance on the correct installation of child car seats, ensuring their young passengers are secure. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel will be available throughout the event to answer any questions and provide valuable information on various safety topics.
“The Davidson Police Department loves this opportunity to interact with community members, especially the youth, in an environment without crisis” said Police Chief Kim Davidson.
